Bio

Known for her poised and dynamic performance, soprano Arianna Villano brings a vibrant, bell-like voice to every operatic stage. Some of Arianna’s favorite credits include playing the seductive and vivacious Morgana in Alcina, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica and the mischievous, yet lovable Cupid in Orpheus in the Underworld. She was recently featured as soprano soloist in Ainadamar and also appeared in Sondheim on Sondheim at the University of Houston.

Some of her other credits include Finalist in the Music International Grand Prix (2023) and 2nd Place in the Charleston International Music Competition (2021). In 2021, Arianna was also the recipient of the Schmidt Vocal Arts Alumni Grant in to fund a summer study at the Utah Vocal Arts Academy Summer Festival.

She attended various young artist programs, such as Utah Vocal Arts Academy, Bel Canto Bootcamp, Vegas City Opera, Interlochen, Schmidt Vocal Institute and Oberlin’s Summer Program for Voice to help propel her forward in her artistry.

Arianna studied with Héctor Vasquez at the University of Houston, where she is completed her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude in Vocal Performance. When she isn’t singing, Arianna enjoys sewing historically inspired outfits, painting, and playing with her cats.
