Music International Grand Prix Finalist

This year, I had the honor of being a Finalist at the Music International Grand Prix. This competition was so much fun, and a wonderful experience. The first two rounds of the competition were online, and the finals were held at the Kaufman Center in New York. The Kaufman Center is just a block away from Lincoln Center, and it was amazing to get to sing in such close proximity to The Metropolitan Opera (where I will hopefully sing one day!).

Something really interesting about the MIGP is that it has divisions for many different instruments such as voice, piano, strings and woodwinds. It was incredible to watch such different finalists compete at Merkin Hall this past month.

At each level of the competition, the judges also provided wonderful feedback that is so helpful to young artists. I would highly recommend this competition based on that alone. Too often, young artists will pay massive entry fees to competitions and never receive any constructive feedback to make the entry worth it. I will definitely be participating in this competition again next year.
